Urgent LNG Jobs West Africa | Ably Resources Hiring 2026

Urgent-Hiring-LNG-Project-West-Africa-2026

The global energy landscape is shifting rapidly, and West Africa is at the heart of this transformation. As the world looks toward cleaner-burning fuels to bridge the gap toward a sustainable future, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) has emerged as a critical cornerstone of the global energy mix.

We are excited to announce that Ably Resources is currently facilitating urgent recruitment for a high-profile LNG project located in West Africa. This project represents a massive investment in regional infrastructure and offers a unique opportunity for seasoned oil and gas professionals to advance their careers in a dynamic, international environment.

The Strategic Importance of LNG in West Africa

West Africa is currently experiencing a "gas renaissance." For decades, the region was primarily known for its crude oil exports, but the focus has shifted toward harnessing vast natural gas reserves. This shift isn't just about export; it’s about regional power security and reducing carbon footprints through regasification technology.

Working on an LNG project in this region means you are part of a mission-critical operation. These facilities—whether they are Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) or land-based terminals—are complex engineering marvels that require high-level technical expertise to operate safely and efficiently.

Open Roles and Technical Requirements

We are seeking dedicated professionals for several key supervisory and operational positions. Given the specialized nature of these roles, prior experience in LNG or Regasification is mandatory.

1. Shift Supervisors (4 Vacancies)

As a Shift Supervisor, you are the heartbeat of the facility's daily operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the safe execution of production plans, managing onsite personnel, and ensuring that all environmental and safety protocols are strictly followed.

2. FRU/PRMS Operators (12 Vacancies)

The Floating Regasification Unit (FRU) and Pressure Reduction and Metering Station (PRMS) are the core technical components of the terminal. We need 12 skilled operators to manage the heating, vaporization, and pressure regulation of the gas before it enters the distribution network.

  • Key Focus: Control room operations, cryogenics, and pressure monitoring.

3. Maintenance Managers (2 Vacancies)

Maintenance in a coastal or offshore West African environment presents unique challenges, including humidity and salinity. We are looking for leaders who can implement preventive maintenance programs that minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of critical LNG assets.

4. Mechanical Supervisors (2 Vacancies)

You will lead a team of technicians in maintaining turbines, pumps, valves, and cryogenic heat exchangers. Precision is paramount in LNG operations, where extreme temperature differentials put mechanical components under immense stress.

5. Electrical Supervisors (2 Vacancies)

The electrical infrastructure of an LNG plant is massive. From high-voltage power generation to the intricate wiring of sensor arrays, the Electrical Supervisor ensures the power stays on and the systems remain grounded and safe.

6. Instrumentation Supervisors (2 Vacancies)

In the world of regasification, data is everything. You will oversee the calibration and maintenance of the sophisticated sensors that monitor flow, temperature, and pressure. Without accurate instrumentation, the plant cannot function.

Working in West Africa: What to Expect

Choosing to work in West Africa is an adventure that offers both professional growth and personal enrichment. The region is known for its vibrant culture, hospitality, and rapidly developing industrial sectors.

Rotation and Lifestyle

The project offers a balanced rotation schedule to ensure our team remains sharp and has ample time to recharge with their families.

  • Likely Rotation: 28/28 (four weeks on, four weeks off) or 56/56 (eight weeks on, eight weeks off).

  • Accommodations: High-standard expatriate housing and facilities are provided, ensuring comfort and safety during your "on" cycle.

The Technical Challenge of Regasification

For those coming from traditional downstream or upstream backgrounds, LNG regasification offers a fascinating technical challenge. You will be working with cryogenic fluids at temperatures as low as 162  - 260 . Understanding the thermodynamics of phase changes—turning liquid back into gas—is the core of the job.

Why Join This Project?

  1. Global Impact: You will be contributing to the energy security of West Africa, helping to provide a cleaner energy source for millions of people.

  2. Career Progression: Working on a major LNG project is a "gold star" on any CV. The skills learned here are highly transferable and in high demand globally.

  3. Competitive Compensation: International LNG roles are among the most well-compensated positions in the energy sector.

  4. Team Excellence: You will be working alongside some of the best engineers and operators in the industry, fostered by Ably Resources' commitment to quality.

How to Apply

Due to the urgent nature of these hires, we are looking to move quickly with qualified candidates. If you have the required LNG/Regasification experience and are ready for your next international challenge, we want to hear from you.
