🇮🇩 The Opportunity: Advancing Indonesia’s Energy Future
Indonesia's Oil & Gas sector is a cornerstone of its economy and national energy security. SPIE's commitment to these projects involves maintaining and optimizing complex industrial infrastructure. By joining SPIE, you become a direct contributor to the nation's strategic energy goals, working on challenging and rewarding assignments that promise significant professional growth.
We are specifically seeking candidates who are not just competent, but who embody the highest standards of safety, technical excellence, and dedication.
🛠️ Key Roles in High Demand
This recruitment drive targets five distinct yet interconnected roles, each requiring a specific blend of technical skill and professional certification.
1. Operation & Maintenance Superintendent (CMRP)
The Superintendent role is a critical leadership position. You will oversee all aspects of plant operation and maintenance activities, ensuring peak performance and asset integrity. This role demands a holistic view of the maintenance process, from strategic planning to execution.
- Core Responsibilities: Strategic oversight of O&M programs, managing maintenance budgets, leading multidisciplinary teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Mandatory Certification: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP). This is a non-negotiable requirement, validating your expertise across the five pillars of the SMRP Body of Knowledge: Business & Management, Equipment Reliability, Manufacturing Process Reliability, Organization & Leadership, and Work Management.
2. Maintenance Supervisor (STTK BNSP)
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be the bridge between the Superintendent's strategy and the daily work of the technical teams. Your focus will be on the efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Core Responsibilities: Daily work package planning, scheduling crew assignments, ensuring parts and tools availability, conducting pre-job safety analysis (JSA), and maintaining high quality standards for all completed work.
- Mandatory Certification: certificate Tenaga Teknik Kuhses (STTK) issued by the Badan National Certification Profess (BNSP). This Indonesian national certification is essential, proving your competency and adherence to local industry standards for technical personnel.
3. Mechanical, Electrical & Instrument Technicians
These are the hands-on experts—the backbone of the maintenance operation. We are looking for specialized technicians who can troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate complex equipment across all major disciplines.
- Mechanical Technicians: Expertise in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines), static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers), and piping systems.
- Electrical Technicians: Proficiency in power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), generators, and high-voltage systems.
- Instrument Technicians: Skill in calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control valves, transmitters, pressure, temperature, and flow instrumentation, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
4. Production Operator Area Supervisor
This role oversees a specific operational area of the facility, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. You will manage shift teams and be the first line of defense for process integrity.
Core Responsibilities: Monitoring process parameters, optimizing unit performance, managing shift handover procedures, coordinating with maintenance and engineering, and leading emergency response protocols in your designated area.
5. Operators
Operators are the personnel on the ground, responsible for the safe and continuous monitoring and manipulation of plant equipment.
Core Responsibilities: Routine plant checks (rounds), collecting operational data, adjusting valves and equipment controls, isolating and preparing equipment for maintenance, and reporting any abnormalities immediately.
🎯 Essential Candidate Requirements
To be considered for these critical roles, candidates must meet the following strict professional and educational prerequisites:
I. Educational Qualification:
Supervisors & Technicians: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related field like Electrical or Chemical Engineering, depending on the role). This academic foundation is crucial for roles involving sophisticated troubleshooting, engineering analysis, and strategic maintenance planning.
Operators: While a degree is preferred, equivalent technical diplomas and extensive, demonstrable field experience will be considered.
II. Professional Certifications:
| Role | Required Certification | Issuing Body / Standard | Significance |
| O&M Superintendent | CMRP | Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) | Validates expertise in global best practices for asset management and reliability. |
| Maintenance Supervisor | STTK (Specific to Discipline) | Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) | Mandatory Indonesian national certification confirming technical competency and regulatory compliance. |
| Technicians | STTK / BNSP Certification | BNSP / Equivalent Recognized Body | Confirms the ability to perform trade-specific tasks to national safety and quality standards. |
