I. The Core Disciplines: Positions Open for Immediate Hiring
Our operational success hinges on the precise functioning of complex systems. We are looking for specialists in six key areas, each vital to the stability and productivity of our offshore assets.
A. Electrical Systems: Powering the Platform
Electrical integrity is the lifeblood of any offshore facility. Our Electrical teams are responsible for the generation, distribution, and consumption of all power required for drilling, production, accommodation, and safety systems.
Roles Available:
Electrical Lead Technician: This is a supervisory role. You will be the technical authority on your shift, leading a team of technicians, planning maintenance schedules (both preventative and corrective), and ensuring compliance with international safety standards (e.g., IEC, ATEX/IECEx for hazardous areas). Your expertise will be crucial in fault-finding on high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, and large motors.
Electrical Senior Technician: You will execute complex maintenance tasks, perform intricate trouble-shooting, and carry out detailed inspections of electrical installations. Proficiency with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), Cathodic Protection (CP) systems, and emergency power systems is essential. This role demands a high degree of independence and the ability to mentor junior staff.
Electrical Technician: As a hands-on technician, you will perform routine checks, carry out necessary repairs and replacements, and assist with commissioning new equipment. A solid understanding of electrical schematics, motor control circuits, and general installation practices is mandatory.
Key Focus: Maintenance of high-voltage switchgear, power generation synchronisation, hazard area classification compliance, and efficient power management.
B. Instrumentation and Fire & Gas (F&G): The Sensory System
Instrumentation and F&G technicians are the keepers of precision control and life safety. They ensure that all process variables (pressure, temperature, flow, level) are accurately measured and controlled, and that all critical safety and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems are fully operational.
Roles Available:
Instrument / Fire & Gas Lead Technician: You will manage the maintenance and calibration program for all field instruments, control valves, and analytical equipment. Critically, you will oversee the full F&G detection system, including smoke/heat/flame detectors, gas sensors (H2S, LEL), and associated alarm and suppression systems. You are the final check on a facility’s life safety barrier.
Instrument Senior Technician: Your duties include the calibration, loop checking, and repair of sophisticated instrumentation. You will frequently interact with the control room, verifying signal integrity and ensuring P&ID accuracy. Experience with smart instruments (HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus) and custody transfer metering systems is highly valued.
Instrument / Fire & Gas Technician: Your day-to-day involves performing preventive maintenance (PMs), running calibration routines on various transmitters and sensors, and performing routine function tests on F&G devices as part of the facility’s safety schedule.
Key Focus: Process control reliability, SIL (Safety Integrity Level) verification, functional testing of ESD/PSD systems, and maintaining certified calibration standards.
C. Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS): The Brain of the Facility
The ICSS team manages the nerve centre of the offshore operation: the Distributed Control System (DCS), the Safety Instrumented System (SIS), and the SCADA network. This is a highly specialized area requiring programming and networking expertise alongside traditional maintenance skills.
Roles Available:
ICSS Lead Technician: You will be responsible for the overall health, performance, and cyber-security of the control network. Duties include managing system backups, implementing software/firmware patches, troubleshooting network latency issues, and acting as the main interface with OEM support. Experience with major platforms (e.g., Yokogawa, Honeywell, Emerson) is a strong advantage.
ICSS Senior Technician: You will perform system diagnostics, modify control logic (under strict management of change protocols), and conduct performance tuning of control loops. Experience with human-machine interfaces (HMIs), historian systems, and the underlying server infrastructure is key.
ICSS Boardman: This is a crucial role, often based in the control room. The Boardman is responsible for monitoring the ICSS consoles, responding immediately to alarms, escalating complex issues, and facilitating communication between the control room and field teams during critical operations.
Key Focus: System availability (uptime), network diagnostics, logic modification and testing, and adherence to cyber-security protocols.
D. Mechanical Systems: The Moving Parts
Mechanical systems drive the production process—from hydrocarbon extraction to transportation. This team ensures the reliability of all rotating and static equipment.
Roles Available:
Mechanical Lead Technician: You will lead the team responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of all rotating equipment, including gas turbines, compressors, pumps, and diesel engines. Your expertise will cover alignment techniques, vibration analysis interpretation, and the planning of major overhauls (e.g., hot section inspections).
Mechanical Senior Technician: You will be the expert in executing complex mechanical repairs, conducting precision measurement and fitting, and participating in equipment commissioning. Extensive experience with different types of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating) and critical seals is required. You will also oversee the lubrication program.
Mechanical Technician: You will perform routine inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and assist in the dismantling and reassembly of machinery. A strong foundation in workshop practices and an understanding of hydraulics/pneumatics are necessary.
Key Focus: Minimizing unplanned downtime, vibration monitoring, bearing replacement, and maintaining machinery lubrication standards.
E. Telecommunication (Telecom): The Lifeline to Shore
Telecom systems provide the vital link between the offshore facility and the rest of the world, handling all data, voice, and video communications for both operational and welfare purposes.
Roles Available:
Telecom Lead Technician: You are responsible for the entire communication infrastructure. This includes managing satellite (VSAT) systems, UHF/VHF radio systems, PABX/IP telephony, CCTV and access control systems, and the facility’s internal IT network backbone. Experience with microwave and fibre-optic systems is essential.
Telecom Senior Technician: Your role involves troubleshooting complex network issues, installing and maintaining specialized communication equipment (e.g., PA/GA systems, meteorological instruments), and managing the facility’s internal LAN/WLAN.
Telecom Technician: You will perform general maintenance on communication gear, assist with cable pulling and termination, and troubleshoot common issues with phone systems and network connectivity.
Key Focus: Communication uptime, managing bandwidth usage, troubleshooting network protocols (TCP/IP), and maintaining intrinsically safe communications equipment.
F. Piping Systems: The Process Highway
The Piping team ensures the structural and pressure integrity of all pipelines, risers, manifolds, and process vessels, preventing leaks and managing corrosion.
Roles Available:
Piping Lead Technician: You will be responsible for the inspection program for all process and utility piping. Duties include managing wall thickness monitoring, overseeing hydrotesting and pressure testing, and coordinating piping modifications. You are the custodian of flange management and bolt tensioning procedures.
Piping Senior Technician: You will execute complex piping repairs, perform detailed inspections for corrosion under insulation (CUI), and carry out precision pipe-fitting tasks. Experience in preparing pipework for welding and managing isolation procedures (LOTO) is crucial.
Piping Technician: Your work involves assisting with the removal and replacement of pipe sections, maintaining gaskets and seals, and performing routine inspections of pipe supports and hangers.
Key Focus: Integrity management, corrosion monitoring and mitigation, flange joint integrity, and supporting mechanical/process maintenance activities.

Deep Technical Certifications: Relevant trade qualifications, diplomas, or degrees in the respective engineering field.
Offshore Experience: Minimum 3-5 years for Technicians, 5-8 years for Senior, and 8+ years for Lead roles, specifically within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or maritime industries.
Essential Offshore Certifications: Valid BOSIET/FOET, relevant medical certificates, and specialized training (e.g., High Voltage certification for Electrical roles, specific control system training for ICSS roles).
Soft Skills:
Leadership (for Lead Roles): Proven ability to manage a diverse team, delegate tasks, and conduct safety stand-downs.
