Libya EPF Project: Commissioning Jobs | Manager, Engineers & Techs
Hiring Commissioning Experts for North Africa's Energy Future
Are you a seasoned professional ready to make a significant impact on a crucial Early Production Facilities (EPF) project? A leading energy contractor is seeking highly experienced and safety-focused commissioning specialists to join a critical project team in an active oil field in Libya.
We are looking for self-starting, hands-on, and technically proficient individuals with proven track records in delivering fast-track EPF/CPF projects, particularly those familiar with the dynamic demands of the North Africa and MENA regions.
If you thrive in a challenging, international environment and are prepared for immediate mobilization under a contractor model, we invite you to review the following critical roles:
Executive & Management Role
1. Commissioning Manager
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategy and execution of all commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for the EPF. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between construction, client expectations, and final operations handover.
Core Responsibilities: Lead, plan, and oversee all commissioning activities, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and full compliance with specifications and HSE standards. Act as the primary interface between the client, construction, HSE, and operations teams.
Key Competencies: Exceptional leadership and project management skills; Deep knowledge of EPF systems (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation); Expert understanding of HSE standards, startup sequences, and integrated management systems.
Experience Profile: 12–15 years of progressive experience, including significant EPF/CPF commissioning management and demonstrable leadership experience. Familiarity with North Africa/MENA operational environments is a strong advantage.
Engineering Roles (Discipline Experts)
We are seeking specialized engineers across mechanical, electrical, I&C, and process disciplines, each with a minimum of 8 years of dedicated commissioning experience.
2. Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Core Responsibilities: Supervise and execute mechanical system checks, static/dynamic testing, line walks, punch listing, and management of handover documentation for all mechanical systems, including pumps, vessels, and rotating equipment.
Key Competencies: Expertise in rotating and static equipment commissioning; Mechanical completion (MC) processes; Pressure testing procedures; Proficient handling of vendor packages and documentation.
Experience Profile: 8+ years; Minimum of 2–3 EPF projects experience is mandatory.
3. Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Core Responsibilities: Execute all phases of electrical commissioning, including LOTO procedures, safe energization protocols, continuity and megger tests, and system checks for MCCs, transformers, and grounding systems.
Key Competencies: Uncompromising adherence to electrical safety protocols; Deep understanding of LV/MV systems; Proven expertise in safe energization procedures and documentation.
Experience Profile: 8+ years; Significant exposure to utility-heavy EPF infrastructure.
4. Instrumentation & Control Commissioning Engineer
Core Responsibilities: Manage instrument calibration, meticulous loop checks, DCS/PLC interface testing, logic testing, safety systems integration, and final Instrument & Control (I&C) handover.
Key Competencies: Mastery of control systems (DCS/PLC); Expertise in comprehensive loop checks; Logic testing and detailed cause & effect verification.
Experience Profile: 8+ years; Direct experience with oilfield I&C systems and EPF commissioning.
5. Process Commissioning Engineer
Core Responsibilities: Oversee and manage pre-commissioning activities leading into startup, including process flushing, hydro-testing, chemical cleaning, operational simulations, and system startup.
Key Competencies: Comprehensive process knowledge (separators, dehydration, flare systems); Expertise in chemical flushing, pigging operations, and unit startup.
Experience Profile: 8+ years; Minimum of 2 EPF projects experience is mandatory.
Technician Roles (Field Execution)
We are looking for skilled, safety-conscious field technicians across key disciplines to execute hands-on commissioning tasks.
6. Mechanical Commissioning Technician
7. Electrical Commissioning Technician
8. I&C Commissioning Technician
Core Responsibilities (All Technicians): Execute field commissioning tasks as directed by the lead engineers, ensuring all work adheres to technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Competencies (All Technicians): Proven field skills in mechanical fit-up, cable termination, instrument calibration, and rigid adherence to site safety compliance.
Experience Profile (All Technicians): 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on commissioning field work.
